Chelavara Falls is a natural waterfall set amid the lush, mist-covered landscape characteristic of the Coorg region in Karnataka. The surrounding terrain reflects the broader character of this part of the Western Ghats, where dense forest, coffee and spice plantations, and rolling hills create a distinctly green environment throughout much of the year. Visitors typically come to take in the scenery, walk the approach trail, and photograph the falls, which are most impressive during and shortly after the monsoon season when water levels are at their highest.
